Filming’s done. Time for a lie down? Not a chance.
It’s been quite a few months.
Rupert Holmes came home to Northwich, the Piña Colada Festival did what it does best, and we were there with our cameras for every moment of it. Filming is now complete, and we’ve come away with hours of stories, laughter, memories and music.
Since then, we’ve been busy: Two versions, not one. We’re working on the documentary film, and a radio version built around Rupert’s wonderful storytelling. The trailer is cut. It’s a little taste of what’s to come, and we can’t wait for you to see it. Talking rights. We’re in negotiations for the music and archive footage, including a certain song you might have heard of. Everything is costed. Every licence, every edit day and every last detail of the premiere.
Time for a piña colada? No chance, we’ve got work to do!
Next up: the fundraising, the edit and a big-screen premiere in Northwich in February 2027, just in time for Rupert’s 80th birthday.
Stay tuned. There’s plenty more to come.
